HRS - Model BP Series - Positive Displacement Piston Pump for Food Application
HRS BP Series piston pumps are hydraulically or pneumatically operated positive displacement pumps that transfers mechanical energy to pressure. A hygienic design incorporates a separator fitted between the piston and the hydraulic chamber to ensure no contact between the product and the hydraulic oil. Once the pump is in operation, no part which comes into contact with oil comes into contact with the product. The hygienic design and suitability for CIP cleaning makes this pump ideally suited to food processing applications where product integrity and shape must be guaranteed, delicate viscous fluids and products containing particles with a low shear rate as fruit dices.
Product Details
BP Series pumps are driven by a hydraulic power pack which drives a hydraulic cylinder from alternate directions, moving the piston up and down. The pump housing is split into two chambers, each with an inlet and outlet connection which allows the entry and exit of large particles. It has an adjustable flow, which can range from a minimum of 200 litres/hour to a maximum of 12,000 litres/hour, and features a high pressure drop of up to 30 bar.
Clap valves allow pumping of whole fruits or vegetables, and an Alternative piston pump with a pneumatic cylinder can be supplied for low pressure applications of less than 5 bar.
The HRS BP Series piston pump is designed to operate in a wide range of applications, including:
High viscosity fluids
Shear sensitive fluids
Aseptic food applications
Fluids with large particles
Industrial applications
The HRS BP Series piston pump is a fully hygienic, hydraulically operated positive displacement pump. The pump is driven by a hydraulic power pack which drives a hydraulic cylinder from alternate directions, moving the piston up and down. The pump housing is split into two chambers. Each chamber has an inlet and outlet connection which allows entry and exit of large particles.
The BP pump is designed in such a way that delicate and viscous fluids can be pumped easily whilst maintaining product integrity, making it ideal for use in the food industry
