Terra Nova Nurseries have released some new plant varieties for 2017.

Take a look at some of the beautiful new plant varieties available this year.

Plant 1: Brunnera ‘Alexander’s Great’ This variety has large, silvered leaves of good substance with big spikes of forget-me-not flowers and is zone 3 hardy.

Plant 2: Coleus Color Clouds™ ‘Spicy’ – This coleus has paprika-peppered, amber-coloured leaves with a semi-trailing habit that is great for baskets, beds or containers. It is happiest in shade.

Plant 3: Coleus GLOBETROTTERS™ ‘Gaga’ – The hot pink-red centres on green and yellow leaves make this coleus unique. It is heavily branched with a globe-like habit.

Plant 4: Coleus TERRA NOVA® ‘Marrakesh’ – This variety is extremely popular because the amber, copper, lime, and dark crimson complement so many colours in a container or garden.

Plant 5: Coreopsis ‘Buttermilk’ – This coreopsis has glowing, creamy yellow flowers, mildew-resistant, feathery foliage, an extremely long flowering period, and a clean habit.

Plant 6: Coreopsis ‘Ladybird’ – The warm, red flowers over bright green, feathery leaves and very long period in flower make this coreopsis special. It is zone 5 hardy.

Plant 7: Coreopsis ‘Lightning Bug’ – This variety is self-cleaning and mildew-resistant making it a highly sought-after plant. It also has gold flowers with red eyes over fine foliage and is hardy to zone 5.

Plant 8: Dicentra ‘White Gold’ – This bleeding heart has shimmering-gold leaves with brilliant, heart-shaped flowers. These vigorous plants can reach 75cm in height and are zone 4 hardy.

Plant 9: Heuchera ‘Blondie in Lime’ – This lime form of ‘Blondie’ has large numbers of light green flower spikes that bloom continuously through autumn. This heuchera grows to 20cm tall.

Plant 10: Heuchera ‘Champagne’ – This heuchera has unusual and appealing foliage color that changes from rosy-peach to various shades of gold with a white veil. It is heat tolerant as well.

Plant 11: Heuchera ‘Red Lightning’ – The Heuchera villosa heritage of this new heuchera instills heat and humidity resistance for this variety’s huge, gold leaves with red veins.

Plant 12: Heuchera FOREVER™ ‘Purple’ – This heuchera has purple, glossy leaves with fluted edges that are always purple throughout the year. Its short flower spikes complement the shiny foliage.

Plant 13: Heucherella ‘Autumn Cascade’ – This hardy variety has reddish-tan leaves with a darker interior and a great, cascading habit that can make it a useful ground cover or basket spiller.

Plant 14: Kniphofia ‘Poco Orange’ – The large spikes of red-tipped, orange flowers that bloom from summer to autumn are stunning. The plant is ultra-compact at 70cm tall and is zone 6-9 hardy.

Plant 15: Kniphofia ‘Poco Red’ – It has big spikes of coral-red flowers over stiff, grass-like foliage. With a 60cm spread and 45cm tall, this kniphofia blooms and blooms.

Plant 16: Kniphofia ‘Poco Yellow’ – The large spikes of super long-blooming, light yellow flowers over grassy leaves are very appealing. This variety is 60cm tall and 75cm wide.

Plant 17: Leucanthemum ‘Belgian Lace’ – This is Terra Nova Nurseries’ most compact Shasta daisy to date. The large, double-white flowers have fringed petal tips and yellow centers. It is a butterfly-attractor and is zone 5-9 hardy.

Plant 18: Mukgenia NOVA™ ‘Flame’ – This is the world’s first bergenia / mukdenia hybrid. It has thick, leathery leaves with jagged margins and a compact habit, making it a good container plant. This one-of-a-kind variety is long-lived and zone 3 hardy.
