Where are seeds produced?

Seeds are produced inside the ovary of a flower. Here's a breakdown:

* Flower: The reproductive structure of a flowering plant.

* Ovary: A swollen base of the flower that contains one or more ovules.

* Ovules: Tiny structures within the ovary that contain the female gametes (egg cells).

* Pollination: The transfer of pollen (containing male gametes) from the anther to the stigma of the flower.

* Fertilization: When the male gamete from the pollen fuses with the female gamete in the ovule.

* Seed Formation: After fertilization, the ovule develops into a seed, containing the embryo (a tiny plant), a food source (endosperm), and a protective coat.

So, the journey of a seed begins within the ovary of a flower, where fertilization takes place, and the seed is then ready to grow into a new plant!
