Decorating With Yarn-Wrap Your Initial

Decorating With Yarn-Wrap Your Initial

I've got tons of yarn leftover from multiple crocheting projects. Some aren't enough for a full project, but I can't stand to get rid of it. I just know I'll find a use. 🙂

So while at the craft store I came across cardboard letters and grabbed the first letter in my last name, a N. I found this springy shade of green moss and had originally thought I'd crochet some new dish rags and pot holders. While rolling another skane of yarn into a ball, I thought how pretty some different balls of yarn would look sitting in a bowl.

Then I thought about wrapping the letter I'd picked up in the yarn. Here's my finished product.

I think this would be adorable with the first letter of a girl's name with a pretty flower on one side. Or a B for baby embellished with buttons. The possibilities are endless.

Just use a little hot glue to secure the yarn where you start wrapping and when you end. I did have to use a dab of hot glue on the corners and a little in the middle just to help the yarn stay put.

What are your uses for yarn other than crocheting? Any ideas?
