FTN AquaArt - Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS)

Can you breed fresh fish without polluting the oceans and waters and without using growth-promoting substances? The clear answer: You can! Innovative RAS systems (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems) enable sustainable rearing today, which will also provide us with healthy fish tomorrow - very environmentally friendly, very resource-saving and very energy-efficient.

Advantages of Aquaculture

FTN AquaArt - Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS)

1. Closed aquaculture systems
The RAS technology (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems) is based on closed water cycles and thus enables land-based breeding methods. For this purpose, water tanks are connected to complex filter systems that ensure mechanical-biological water treatment. In addition, the systems can be precisely adapted to the needs of the respective fish species.

2. Clean water

2. Clean water

In our RAS systems, 98% of the water is reused - thanks to the use of state-of-the-art filtration and oxygen enrichment systems, targeted oxidation processes and water disinfection using UV light. In this way we ensure that the water is free of pathogens at all times and can therefore completely dispense with the use of antibiotics and pesticides.

3. Maximum resource efficiency

3. Maximum resource efficiency

We rely on the highest energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies (e.g. photovoltaics, heat pumps, waste heat from industrial companies). With the use of innovative technology, we therefore guarantee an optimal cost-benefit ratio for every property. But we are not only breaking new ground in energy use, but also in the use of by-products. So slaughter remains can be used for the production of animal feed and biogas, while wastewater and excess fertilizer are used in agriculture. Another innovative application: The use of O₂ exhaust air in greenhouses and in the areas of aquaponics and vertical farming.

4. Intelligent measurement systems

4. Intelligent measurement systems

Our in-house developed measurement technology makes the operation of the FTN systems very easy. Our systems control the entire fish and energy technology, reliably take over the management of the stocking fish and inform you about all important parameters by message on your digital device at any time. The advantage for you: maximum production reliability, low operating costs and a reduction in energy and water requirements to an absolute minimum.

5. Scalable solutions

5. Scalable solutions

Our RAS systems can be set up anywhere, regardless of the climate and geography. In addition, your system can be modularly adapted to local demand and enlarged as required. The reason for this high flexibility: Each individual module is designed as an independent production unit with all biologically relevant functions, so that you can expand your fish farming individually at any time.
