Directions:

1. Begin by cutting the pool noodle into 2 inch segments. Your serrated knife will get this job done for you fast. You will need one segment per seedling.

2. Optional: Wrap some washi tape around the noodle. This just adds a little color, or can be used to help identify the plants later if you use washi tape you can write on.

3. Use your knife to cut open the side of the noodle. You only need to do this if the hole of the pool noodle isn’t very big and your seedling will need more room.

4. Wrap the pool noodle around the seedling, or plant it directly into the hole of the pool noodle. Again, this will depend on the size of the roots and how much room your seedling needs.

5. Place the seedlings on a cookie sheet so you can easily move them into the sun as needed. I also found that cookie sheets ad a little more warmth for the plant which they tend to appreciate. When your seedling is ready to be transplanted, simply remove the pool noodle and plant. You can use the pool noodle again around the base of any plants that need a little extra support.
