Viola and euonymus container

A strong colour theme is the key to this viola, campanula and euonymus container display.

The vibrant golden foliage provides the backdrop for pretty violas and campanulas planted towards the front. The display will last for most of the summer, and you can recycle the foliage plants when it’s time to plant up for the autumn.

Follow these easy steps to plant up your own viola and euonymus container, below.

You Will Need

Total time:

Step 1

Add peat-free, multi-purpose compost to your pot until it’s two thirds full. Plant the euonymus at the back.

Step 2

Add the remaining plants one at a time, teasing out the roots as you go – position the violas at the front.

Fill any gaps with more compost and water well. Let the compost settle and water again. Keep moist.
