Plants grow well when what has been lost?

Plants grow well when nutrients have been lost from the soil.

Here's why:

* Nutrients are essential for plant growth: Plants need a variety of nutrients to thrive, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and others. These nutrients are absorbed from the soil through the roots.

* Plants deplete nutrients: As plants grow, they use up the available nutrients in the soil. Over time, this can lead to nutrient depletion, making it harder for plants to grow and thrive.

* Replenishing nutrients helps: Adding fertilizers or compost to the soil replenishes the lost nutrients, providing the plants with what they need to grow strong and healthy.

So, while it might seem counterintuitive, plants need to lose nutrients in order to grow well because they need to be replenished!
