Drums are fed into the machine by hand onto specially designed carriers, the start button is depressed and the machine proceeds through its drum washing/cask washing cycle automatically. Treatment times can be adjusted to suit the condition of drums being fed into the machine, it can take head or body bung drums and plastic drums and due to the modular construction, further sections can be added should production capacity or extra treatments be required.
