Transporting your livestock can be tricky business, as it involves sensitive equipment along with the unruly animals. One of the most important aspects of traveling with your farm animals is making sure that the trailer they will be carried in is in the best possible shape.

How to keep your farm trailer safe:
- Check the trailer for any hazards: Before you load up the animals, make sure that you check for any tools or other potentially harmful equipment that was left in there by accident. You don't want your animals to be injured by a piece of machinery.
- Control your driving: Even if you consider yourself to be a careful driver all the time, you need to take extra precautions when carrying such large and sensitive cargo. Don't speed, drive with your headlights on when necessary and give yourself enough space to react to what happens in front of you.
- Test all of the lights: Your break lights and turn signals will be of even greater importance than they are with your normal car, so be sure to check to see if they are operational each time before you hit the road. If something is malfunctioning, replace it immediately.
